Canadian Gamer is the blog of Rob Bartel, an award-winning poet, playwright, essayist and game designer. He lives with his wife and dogs in Edmonton, Canada. He designed best-selling computer and video games for BioWare, a studio of Electronic Arts, from 1998 through 2012 and began designing board and card games in 2006. In 2012, Mr. Bartel launched the Famous Games Company, around his unique line of World's Smallest Sports Games.

Mr. Bartel is proud to be a founding member of both the Game Artisans of Canada, a national organization of board and card game designers, and the Canadian Heritage Collection, a Canadian content education and labeling program for the specialty games market. He is also a popular guest blogger on Global Toy News.
